Hello everyone,
I wanted to share some personal thoughts and feelings about my current health journey. Recently, I hit my highest weight ever, fluctuating between 257 and 260 pounds. This realization has motivated me to take my health seriously. While I enjoy being bigger, it’s not worth it at the cost of my health. My new goal is to get my weight under 250 pounds, aiming for around 245.
Mixed Feelings About Weight
I have mixed feelings about my weight. On one hand, I enjoy being bigger because it gives me a subconscious feeling that I can better protect my family. But on the other hand, if I’m unhealthy, I can’t be there for them either. My main focus now is on muscle definition and losing belly fat. I’m particularly disappointed with the shape of my midsection and want to work on that.
Dealing with Foot Pain
Lately, I’ve been struggling with symptoms that feel like plantar fasciitis. Whenever I put pressure on the ball of my foot, it sends a sharp pain through my toes and down my arch. This makes running difficult, so I’ve decided to shift my focus to weightlifting instead of cardio.
Discovering Fitbod
One of my favorite tools in this journey has been the Fitbod app. I love how it takes the guesswork out of lifting, allowing me to focus on the workout itself. It only suggests exercises that match the equipment I have and considers my muscle recovery status. This has made lifting weights more enjoyable and effective for me.
Staying Accountable
Starting this blog and website is also a way to hold myself accountable. I hope that by sharing my journey, I’ll stay motivated to keep going, even when it gets difficult or impractical. This week, my goal is to build a workout streak and maintain it throughout the month of June. I know this will be challenging, especially with some vacations planned, but I’m committed to making it work.
Looking Ahead
I’m excited to share my progress, challenges, and successes with you. I hope to inspire others who might be facing similar struggles to take that first step towards a healthier lifestyle.
Stay tuned for more updates and tips, and let’s make health and fitness a priority.
